Chamila M. Gamage

I am Chamila Dilshani Malagoda Gamage. I received my PhD in Mathematics, from Michigan State University in 2023. I am researching on Optimal Transport Theory and my advisor is Jun Kitagawa. You can read about my research here in my research page.

I obtained my master’s degree in mathematics from Ohio University OH, USA in 2017, and I earned my bachelors with an emphasis on Mathematics from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

I was one of the two student representatives of the Graduate Studies Committee in Department of Mathematics, MSU for the 2019-2020 academic year. I am a member of American Mathematical Society, MSU student chapter and the Association for Women in Mathematics, MSU student chapter.

Previous to MSU, I have worked as a GTA in Ohio university, OH from year 2015 to 2017. And before that I was a temporary instructor in University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in the year 2014.

This fall, I will be joining the Department of Mathematics, University of Florida, as an Assistant Instructional Professor.
